Not purpose, but context and communities first

On 28 September 2020 Kees Buitendijk – member of the Finance and the Common Good team – presented a column titled “Not purpose, but context and communities first”. With the column, he responded to the works of prof. Rebecca Henderson and prof. Colin Mayer, who were invited to discuss the issue of “Business as a Force for Good” in Pakhuis de Zwijger (Amsterdam). The dialogue was part of the “Future Markets Consultation” that is co-organized by the Finance and the Common Good program, together with the Moral Markets (VU) research program and Pakhuis de Zwijger.
